No need to get stressed out this holiday season.
Follow this three-week holiday prep schedule, and you’ll be all set:
Tonight after work, drive to your local pharmacy or Big Box store with a list of everyone you need to get gifts for, and buy everything tonight.
Tomorrow after work, go home, wrap and label everything.
Day 3: After work, for anything that has to be mailed, go to your local office/packing/mailing store and pick up all the boxes, packing tape and mailing peanuts you’ll need to mail the gifts you just purchased.
Day 4: Go home after work and pack and label everything that has to be mailed.
Day 5: After work, drive all your packages requiring mailing directly to the post office and mail them all.
Day 6: Make your menu for Christmas Eve/First Night of Hanukkah/Kwanza as well as Christmas Day/First Day of Hanukkah/Kwanza. Use that menu to put together a grocery shopping list. Any dry goods you will be needing, get them now and check them off of your list. The fresh food will have to wait until a few days before the event.
Day 7: Now after work, head off to the gym and work out enough to burn some calories. Figure out how many calories you gain in any one holiday season, and aim for the next three weeks to burn those away in after-work workouts, so that by the time the holiday parties start, you are fit as a fiddle and not worried at all about gaining a few pounds.
Days 8-21: Stick to those daily workouts. Go over your shopping and gift lists to make sure you have everything.
See, now you’re ready to enjoy your holiday totally stress-free! All you need to do is cook, serve, eat, clean up, and be the Host/Hostest with the Mostest!
