Hard Work

ImageLife is hard work.  From the moment we work to escape our mother’s womb, to the day we re-join our Creator, each and every day we have to work hard to care for ourselves and for one another.

This value is something we all need to work harder to achieve, regardless of race or religion, and it is the value I will be passing on to my 2nd graders today in Sunday School, as today is Holocaust Memorial Day/Yom Hashaoh (Day of Fire).

While the Holocaust is much too devastating a topic to discuss with my 2nd graders, the value of each and every human being is something we must teach from the day they are born; because at the end of this journey that we call “life,” we really all want the same thing: to all be able to look back and say that we did the right thing.

Keep that value in your heart and soul, apply it every day in everything you say and do, and together we can prevent another Holocaust from ever occurring anywhere on Earth.
