Because We Are Jews

As a child I was bullied

Because I am a Jew

Pushed in the mud

Thrown dirt upon

Because I am a Jew

Our home was toilet-papered,

Our windows egged

Hatred in the Territories

Because we were Jews

I grew up in America with this hate

My father grew up in the Old Country

Where he was beaten

Because he was a Jew

Put into a Labor Camp

Because he was a Jew

He lost his brother

Because he was a Jew

He lost all of his father’s relatives

Because they were Jews

He lost all but one aunt on his mother’s side

Because they were Jews

My American relatives are now the victims of verbal attacks in college

Because they are Jews

Their professors do nothing

They watch, they listen, and let evil prevail

Pretending

to see no evil

to hear no evil

That same “See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Do Nothing” mentality led to 50 MILLION dead in World War II

A nuclear proliferation agreement with Iran is certain to lead to 50 MILLION more deaths

Yet the world asks Israel to

Step aside

Remain silent

Do nothing

Just watch

Listen

Let others decide your fate

BECAUSE YOU ARE JEWS

Never again means

Never again going silently into the night

Like sheep to the slaughter

Never again means

Recognizing evil when you see it

Working to stop it before it destroys humanity

Teaching

Love

Tolerance

Peaceful coexistence

Because YOU ARE JEWS
