Giving It to God

Moon Shining

What does it take for us

To turn to God and say:

I’ve done all I can, God,

Now, do what you may?

Faith that we have done all that we could,

That we’ve done our best to do the most good.

But when all our efforts seem fruitless, my friend,

We must have faith that God is there through thick and thin;

We must figure out when it’s time to hand God our life’s reins

So that inner peace will reside in our soul, our body and brains,

For we are simple humans,  just flesh and blood,

We can only trample and wade through a certain amount of life’s mud,

So when the time comes, we must have faith and trust

That God is here to lend a hand and an ear.
