The trouble with life is we don’t know what’s coming.
So we plan and we plan in spite of that question’s humming.
And when it doesn’t go as we had quite expected,
We often get mad as if life owed us exactly what we had projected.
So perhaps the key to a life of ease
Is to never expect life to give us what we please;
But instead to take what it gives us and then give our best back,
That way no matter what happens, we’ll never lack
A sense of contentment in all that we are
Realizing every day is an opportunity to be our own universe’s star,
Enabling us to be a bright light,
No matter the problems — not allowing ourselves to feel spite;
For life is an adventure with roads yet to be traveled;
It’s up to us to roll with the punches and not be unraveled;
‘Cuz not knowing what’s coming is part of the journey
So get out there and live it before you end up on the undertaker’s gurney.
