God’s Plan

God made us and (S)He therefore knows

The ups and downs for which we humans are disposed.

(S)He knew we’d spend so very much time

Blaming others for our failures, for that’s our human paradigm.

What it is, however, that we’re capable of,

Is filling up our souls with endless love;

But in order to do that, we must first cleanse our hearts

Of the hatreds and bias that this lifetime imparts.

So help God out, my friends and neighbors

Stop teaching hate and bias, do God and humanity those favors.

‘Cuz we know what God intends for us . . .

It’s amazing and wonderful, but first we must trust

The light that God placed into our souls

Teaching us that the most important thing to grow

Is the love of our neighbor, so we may sow

A world of endless, perpetual peace

Laden with footpaths of love that never cease.
